This album was conceived and executed by Justin Remer.
It was recorded & mixed at home, in 2 apartments in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Vocals on tracks 5, 6, 7, 10 recorded & mixed by Casey Holford at Golden Rule. He mastered the album too.
"Nick the Knife" is one of my absolute favorite albums. Sadly, it is largely unheralded these days, and is in fact out-of-print.
**EDIT: I am pleased as punch to announce that Yep Roc has finally remastered and reissued the album. Listen to it now!**
This tribute is meant in no way to take the place of the original.
Through a combination of stubbornness, lack of talent, and a playful sense of mischief, this album sounds only vaguely like the fantastic album which inspired it. The bones are the same, but the figure is strikingly distinct.
Special Thanks to: Allison Cannarsa for feedback; Preston Spurlock, Neil Kelly, Darcy Clay, and Paul McCartney for inspiration; and Erin Regan for selling me that cheap microphone.
